I have always been very impressed with Claude Monet’s
technique. He is the principal leader of the impressionist era in Europe, and
that is way today I will talk about not only one of his paintings, but of a
series of paintings known as “The Rouen Cathedral”. In this series of
paintings, Monet shows his audience the importance of the light in a painting;
each artwork was painted during a different time a day, which gives the image a
different color. I am amazed by his idea of painting the same exact image, eight
different times and give it a different meaning and feeling to each one of
them.
